Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an International Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993 Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 168 million shoe boxes to children in over 170 countries and territories. For many of these children, these gift filled shoeboxes are the first gift they have ever received.
Shoeboxes need to be an “average” size box rather than an oversized shoebox. Average size shoeboxes are the red and green boxes supplied by Operation Christmas Child (OCC) or the plastic containers purchased at your local stores. Shipping is $9 per box.

Here is a list of items NOT to place in any of the shoeboxes. Upon arrival in the Processing Center they are removed before they are shipped out to their destinations. This helps get our shoeboxes through Customs in other countries faster:

• No liquids (shampoo, bubbles, glue)
• No Breakables
• No Military items: Camouflage, toy weapons
• Perishable Food (crackers, cookies, etc.)
• No Toothpaste
• No Medications
• No Soap, liquid or bars
